This series began in 2000 during a trip to Niger. A first image of a neon light in a night market in Niamey, then the fluorescent tube became an object, the subject of each of these photographs. Obsession, fascination with this universal, banal and suggestive light. In Shanghai, in Paris, in Bamako, in Helsinki, New York, Khabarovsk, Marseille, Cairo, Niamey, Bordeaux, Beijing and Bagnolet, these images let us imagine the personality of each city, of each chosen place. In a restaurant, in a building lobby, on the street or in an underground car park, each of the photographs invites our eye to stop on familiar places.
